Louth's first Cosplay club ready to launch
After being inspired to bring together like-minded people in the area, Amy Crook is launching the town’s first cosplay club, which is holding its first meeting this month.
Amy has been into cosplay since her own childhood, and fell in love with anime and manga after being brought back presents of this ilk by her uncle when he lived in Japan for a time.

Amy studied GCSE Textiles and art and design at at college to hone her skills, and has made all sorts of cosplay costumes since then – her most recent being the Cowgirl Barbie costume.
And now, Amy is hoping to bring together more likeminded people in the Louth area to share their love of all cosplay by launching the town’s first club after finding there wasn’t a group of this kind in the area.
"Something came up rceently which was a Steampunk group near Skegness, but I wanted to create my own group closer to home, maybe with people my own age,” she said, “I wanted to create a cosplay community where likeminded people can get together and make friends and learn from each other.”
