GALLERY: Friskney Village Show organisers ‘overwhelmed’ by support

Organisers of Friskney Village Show say they are overwhelmed by the support they received for the event over the weekend.

The popular annual show took place on Sunday and featured evertainment from Friskney Primary School Choir, Top Limitz Dance Academy, Wainfleet Warriors and a classic vehicle exhibition.

There was also one minute’s silence for Squadron Leader Mark Long at the time the show had expected a flyover by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBFM) before the the tragic death of the Spitfire pilot.

Following the show, organisers posted on social media: “We have no words right now other than ‘thank you’.

“The show would not have been possible without all of the volunteers, the wonderful stall holders and our live entertainment and dance groups.

“We are incredibly grateful to each and every person who have given us lovely feedback and praise.”

Amongst the comments, Steph Powell said: “Fantastic day - you did the village proud. Well done!”

Jan Legge said: “Well done to all the committee, volunteers, vendors and the friends of friends who made today possible. This was our first visit so thank you to all for a brilliant morning.”

Russell Dadswell said: “Well done all. It was a really good day.”

The committee are already looking to next year’s event and inviting constructive comments. Visit the Friskney Village Show on Facebook.
