Triathlon club hosts beginners' contests
And the weekend’s events offered juniors aged seven-plus and beginner adults the chance to see what the sport was about.
Young and old both took part in duathlon (run-bike-run) events at the Princess Royal Sports Arena on Saturday morning.

Hide AdThe club, which was formed last year, is gearing up for its first full season - which will include members taking of Iron Man and Half Iron Man disciplines, as well as sprint distance events.
Boston Triathlon Club currently has close to 50 adult members and 19 juniors signed up.
“Some people see it as an elitist sport, but it’s not,” said club member Craig Oliver.
“We’re targeting every day people who are interested in getting fit.”

Hide AdThe club will host its next taster day on March 25, again available for both juniors and adults.
But on this occasion the use of the pool will see juniors able to try out a full triathlon (swim-bike-run).
